"When the Lights Go Out" Gallery Show

I had the opportunity to contribute a piece to the New York-based Bottleneck Gallery's upcoming show, When the Lights Go Out! The awesome thing about this show is that it's a glow-in-the-dark themed show! The piece I created for the show was done using glow-in-the-dark acrylic paint and ink. The 5"x7" piece looked extremely sweet framed.

The show will be open from April 12th to May 1st!

I was invited to contribute to Giant Robot's Post-it show this year! I attended last year's show and enjoyed the hundreds of pieces on display, so I'm excited to be a part of the show this time around!

GR2 "Game Over" Art Exhibition

Giant Robot 2's "Game Over" art exhibition opened yesterday, and the turn out was great! Luckily I dropped by just as the exhibit was opening, because the gallery was jam packed later into the night! Here are some of my friends' pieces and some other pieces that I happened to take pictures of.

Here's my piece for the show! I just had to create a Metal Gear Solid themed piece; I didn't want to create a piece based on any other game, it had to be an MGS game. I decided to draw Gray Fox (AKA, the cyborg ninja). I started the piece out digitally using photoshop to work out my sketch. Then I printed out the sketch, transferred it to paper and did the inking traditionally. Finally, I scanned in my inkwork and finished up the piece digitally.

Giant Robot 2 "Game Over"

Giant Robot 2 is having a video game themed art exhibition, and I was given the opportunity to contribute! This will be my first time exhibiting work outside of my university and I'm happy to share the gallery space with a couple of my classmates/peers. The show opening is on June 2nd!

CSUN Illustration Exhibition 2011

I was recently showcased in my college's illustration exhibition a couple weeks ago. The prepping for the show felt like a lot for something that was only going to be up for a week, but it turned out great.
